Das Thema? Macht(losigkeit) in der Gesellschaft. Mein Fokus? Neurodiversität; Konditionen wie beispielsweise Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS) und Autismus und deren Effekte und Symptome. Ich beschäftige mich mit den Reaktionen und Kommentaren, welche für Betroffene besonders belastend sind. Wie alles zu viel, zu hell wird, wie das Atmen schwer fällt. Man weiss nicht –oder besser gesagt versteht nicht – wieso man so ist wie man ist. Man will sich einfach verstecken, Unterschlupf finden, jedoch scheint es nirgends einen «Safe Space» zu geben.

The topic? Power(lessness) in society. My focus? Neurodiversity; conditions such as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism, for example, and their effects and symptoms. I focus on the reactions and comments that can be particularly distressing for those affected. How everything becomes too much, too bright, how breathing becomes difficult. You don't know - or rather don't understand - why you are the way you are. You just want to hide, to find shelter, but there doesn't seem to be a "safe space" anywhere.

Το θέμα; Η ανικανότητα στην κοινωνία. Η εστίασή μου; Νευροδιαφορετικότητα- παθήσεις όπως η διαταραχή ελλειμματικής προσοχής και υπερκινητικότητας (ΔΕΠΥ) και ο αυτισμός, μεταξύ άλλων, και οι επιπτώσεις και τα συμπτώματά τους. Ασχολούμαι με τις αντιδράσεις και τα σχόλια που είναι ιδιαίτερα στρεσογόνα για τους πάσχοντες. Πώς τα πάντα γίνονται πάρα πολλά, πολύ φωτεινά, πώς η αναπνοή γίνεται δύσκολη. Δεν ξέρεις -ή μάλλον δεν καταλαβαίνεις- γιατί είσαι έτσι όπως είσαι. Θέλεις απλώς να κρυφτείς, να βρεις καταφύγιο, αλλά δεν φαίνεται να υπάρχει πουθενά ένα "safe space".
